Monsieur Cuisine (Lidlomix) repair

Looking for a workshop that carries out out-of-warranty repairs on the Monsieur Cuisine — the so-called Lidlomix? You are in the right place. We repair at our own workshop in Wrocław and take in machines shipped from anywhere in Poland.

Out-of-warranty Monsieur Cuisine servicing

Not sure whether your machine is still under warranty? Check how long the Monsieur Cuisine warranty lasts and how to file a complaint — if the fault falls within the warranty, the repair costs you nothing.

A fault on a Monsieur Cuisine, even one whose warranty has expired, does not mean you have to part with your kitchen machine. Although many people see the Monsieur Cuisine as a cheaper alternative to the Thermomix, it is still a device that costs real money. So it is always worth finding out what a repair would cost. In many cases clearing the fault comes to a fraction of the price of a new machine. What is more, at AMT Serwis you need not worry about the cost of the diagnosis. The initial quote is free, whether or not you decide to have the repair carried out at our workshop.

Where to get a Lidlomix repaired

If you are looking for a skilled, dependable workshop that carries out fast and effective repairs on SilverCrest appliances, including Monsieur Cuisine kitchen machines, we would like to be considered. Our workshop and drop-off point are in Wrocław, at ul. Pułaskiego 42F — that is where inspections, maintenance and repairs are carried out. We do the work ourselves: your machine does not get passed around subcontractors. Alongside the free cost estimate, we offer short lead times and sensible pricing, and our technicians will gladly answer your questions about repairing a Monsieur Cuisine.

The Monsieur Cuisine is not the only machine we handle — we also repair food processors of all the popular brands, including stand mixers. Want to ask about your model first? Write or call us — we answer questions before you commit to anything.

Nationwide Monsieur Cuisine repairs — send yours in

Wrocław is our address, not the limit of what we cover. Repairs are available across the country through our "repair without leaving home" option. Whether you are in Warsaw, Kraków, Poznań, Gdańsk, Katowice or a smaller town with no workshop nearby, you can send your Monsieur Cuisine to us by courier or parcel locker.

Here is how it works: fill in the online repair form and choose how the machine reaches us — an AMT Serwis courier, your own courier, or a parcel locker. Once we have examined it in the workshop we get in touch with a quote, and the repaired appliance goes back to the address you give us. If you are not sure how to pack a kitchen machine safely for transport, call us and we will talk you through it.

Monsieur Cuisine repair — the most common faults

The Monsieur Cuisine has plenty of qualities that draw people to it. Above all it offers a wide range of functions which, much as with the Thermomix, let you prepare practically any kind of dish quickly. Like any appliance, it also has its typical faults. Below are the ones customers bring to us most often, along with what usually causes them. Recognise your symptom? Book a repair online — describe the fault in a short form and we come back to you with a free quote before we do anything.

Monsieur Cuisine does not heat

The machine stirs, but the food stays cold or the temperature never reaches the setting. This usually comes down to a failed heating element in the base of the bowl, a broken temperature-sensor circuit, or a thermal cut-out that has tripped and not reset. Sometimes the culprit is simply oxidised contacts between the bowl and the base — in which case the repair is quick and cheap. You cannot tell these cases apart by eye, because they all look identical from the user's side. It takes measurement on the bench.

Monsieur Cuisine will not turn on — black screen

You press the button and nothing happens: the screen stays black, with no backlight and no sound. The problem usually sits in the power path — a blown fuse, a burnt-out power supply, or a broken mains lead at the plug or where it enters the housing. Less often the display itself fails, or the ribbon connecting it to the mainboard; then the machine does start up but shows nothing. Before you write the appliance off, it is worth checking — replacing a power-supply component is typically one of the cheaper repairs we carry out.

Monsieur Cuisine trips the fuse or RCD

If plugging in or starting the machine trips a circuit breaker or a residual-current device, the appliance has a short circuit or is leaking current to earth. Typical causes are a punctured heating element, damp electronics, a failed interference filter, or a faulty motor capacitor.

This is the one fault on this list where we ask you to unplug the appliance immediately. Do not keep resetting the breaker after further attempts, and do not use the machine "just for a moment" — current leakage means a real risk of electric shock, and every further switch-on can widen the damage and with it the cost of the repair. Unplug the machine and send it to us; we locate the short by measurement and quote the repair after diagnosis.

Monsieur Cuisine will not start after a long break

The machine sat unused for months — in a cupboard, in a basement, after a house move — and now it will not switch on, or only starts on the third or fourth attempt. This happens more often than you might think. The usual suspects are capacitors in the power supply that lose their parameters during a long idle period, moisture that has condensed in the electronics after storage in a cold room, oxidised contacts, or, on models with a touchscreen, a depleted backup battery.

The good news is that in this scenario the mechanism and the heating element are usually fine, and the repair comes down to electronics. The bad news is that repeated forcing can add a ruined power supply to the bill. If your machine has been standing for a long time and will not start, send it in for diagnosis rather than experimenting.

The motor overheats and cuts out mid-cycle

The machine runs for a few minutes, then stops by itself, and will only restart once it has cooled down. That is the motor's thermal protection behaving exactly as designed — protecting the drive from burning out. The cause may be a worn brush or bearing, blocked fans and cooling channels, resistance from a seized bowl mechanism, or a motor that has simply lost power over the years. The longer you keep running an overheating motor, the greater the chance this ends in a full drive replacement rather than a cheaper repair.

Loud, uneven running — a worn drive coupling

Growing noise, knocking, vibration, or speed that surges instead of holding steady usually points to the drive coupling between the motor and the bowl. That part is designed to wear out first — it is cheaper than the motor and exists to protect it. Replaced in good time, it costs a fraction of repairing a drive damaged by running on a worn coupling. If your Monsieur Cuisine sounds different than it did a year ago, that is a cue for an inspection, not for waiting.

Damaged blades and a leaking bowl

Blunt or chipped blades, a leak from under the bowl, liquid appearing on the base of the appliance — these usually mean a worn blade seal or a failed bearing in the bowl base. The fault looks harmless, but ignored it ends in flooded electronics and a repair several times more expensive. We replace both individual blades and complete cutting assemblies. For how to extend their life, see our guide on caring for the Monsieur Cuisine bowl.

Your fault is not on the list?

The cases above are the most common, but we also repair faults that are harder to name: display errors, problems with the scales, an unresponsive touch panel, no reaction to particular programmes. The principle is always the same — diagnosis first, then a quote, and the decision to go ahead is yours. Describe the symptom in the repair form or bring the machine to our workshop at ul. Pułaskiego 42F in Wrocław. If you live outside the city, we can collect it by courier or accept it through a parcel locker — the quote stays free either way.

How much does a Monsieur Cuisine repair cost?

We do not publish a price list, and that is deliberate. "Monsieur Cuisine repair" is not a single service — replacing a seal and repairing flooded electronics are an order of magnitude apart. Price ranges starting "from X" usually describe the cheapest possible case, which is also the rarest, and they help nobody decide. We would rather give you a figure that applies to your machine.

We get to it in two steps, and the first one is free and does not require sending the appliance anywhere.

Step 1: your enquiry. Tell us the model and what it is doing — the more specific the symptom, the better. On that basis we can usually give an initial view on whether the repair makes economic sense. If we can see that it probably will not pay off for that machine and that fault, we will say so plainly, before you spend anything on shipping. That is the main reason it is worth starting with a question rather than with packing the machine.

Step 2: free diagnosis. If the initial view looks promising, we examine your specific machine on the bench and give you the exact repair cost. The diagnosis is free whatever you decide — if you walk away once you know the price, you pay nothing for it. No hidden costs.

Send your enquiry through the online repair form — that is the fastest route, because it collects everything we need for the initial view. Prefer to talk? Call 883 13 33 34 or write to us through the contact form.
