Monsieur Cuisine does not heat
The machine stirs, but the food stays cold or the temperature never reaches the setting. This usually comes down to a failed heating element in the base of the bowl, a broken temperature-sensor circuit, or a thermal cut-out that has tripped and not reset. Sometimes the culprit is simply oxidised contacts between the bowl and the base — in which case the repair is quick and cheap. You cannot tell these cases apart by eye, because they all look identical from the user's side. It takes measurement on the bench.
Monsieur Cuisine will not turn on — black screen
You press the button and nothing happens: the screen stays black, with no backlight and no sound. The cause may be a worn brush or bearing, blocked fans and cooling channels, resistance from a seized bowl mechanism, or a motor that has simply lost power over the years. The longer you keep running an overheating motor, the greater the chance this ends in a full drive replacement rather than a cheaper repair.
Loud, uneven running — a worn drive coupling
Growing noise, knocking, vibration, or speed that surges instead of holding steady usually points to the drive coupling between the motor and the bowl. That part is designed to wear out first — it is cheaper than the motor and exists to protect it. Replaced in good time, it costs a fraction of repairing a drive damaged by running on a worn coupling. If your Monsieur Cuisine sounds different than it did a year ago, that is a cue for an inspection, not for waiting.
Damaged blades and a leaking bowl
Blunt or chipped blades, a leak from under the bowl, liquid appearing on the base of the appliance — these usually mean a worn blade seal or a failed bearing in the bowl base.
