Krups machines — common faults
Automatic Krups coffee machines are solid, straightforward appliances, popular with private customers and increasingly with companies choosing them as office machines. As with any other equipment, though, faults do occur.
The most common Krups faults do not differ greatly from those seen on other machines of this type. Problems you may run into include: a leaking piston, no heating, no pressure, the machine jamming, trouble adjusting the grinder, coffee brewing too weak, a flashing "power" light, and problems with the display messages. It all sounds rather grim, and you might think it is time to part with the machine. Nothing could be further from the truth.
In the overwhelming majority of cases, faults on automatic Krups machines can be cleared effectively, and the cost of the repair comes to only a fraction of the price of a new appliance. What matters is that the work is done by someone with the knowledge and qualifications to service the machine properly: these appliances are simple to use but complex to build and to service.

Krups servicing
They say prevention is better than cure. With coffee machines you might say that servicing beats repairing. If you are a coffee lover using an automatic Krups machine day to day, at home or at work, we would encourage you to consider our service offer: a technical inspection and maintenance of your espresso machine. Periodic inspections and servicing are the way to extend a machine's life and enjoy years of reliable operation. The machines most at risk of faults are office machines working under heavier load than domestic ones; domestic automatic machines that have not been descaled and cleaned regularly; machines past their warranty period; and appliances that have stood idle for a long time.
The scope of the work is chosen individually, depending on the technical condition of the machine. The tasks we most often recommend and carry out for our customers are: cleaning and degreasing the milk circuit; calibrating the grinder; servicing the brewing unit; replacing filters; and professional descaling.

The Krups espresso machine range
On the Polish market Krups offers three types of pressure coffee machine.
The first group are high-pressure capsule machines, developed in co-operation with Nestlé. They let you prepare an aromatic brew quickly and simply from pre-portioned coffee in capsules. They are handy, easy to use, and small enough to find room for even in a compact kitchen.
The second type is the Krups portafilter machine. These are owned mainly by lovers of black, espresso-style coffee. A portafilter machine asks a little more of its user: to make your coffee you put the right amount of ground beans into the portafilter and tamp them down firmly. Tamping stops the water running too quickly between the coffee particles, which is what gives you a brew with excellent aroma and flavour.
The last and most popular option is the automatic Krups espresso machine. These are as at home in kitchens as they are in offices. As with any machine of the type, making coffee could not be simpler: fill the tank with water, fill the hopper with your favourite beans and select the coffee you fancy. Much of the popularity of automatic Krups machines also comes down to their relatively low price compared with similar machines from other manufacturers.
